We are seeking a Senior Consultant Planner with formal qualifications in urban or regional planning who understands the drivers of urban and regional development and what shapes great places.
The ideal candidate will have four to five years’ work experience in the private or public sector and experience leading a small multidisciplinary team.
Our team strives to use the latest data and research to address real-world problems. This role will be best suited to someone who has a keen interest in how cities function, social and affordable housing and/or data and GIS analysis. Experience in evidence-based strategic planning and a demonstrated understanding of public policy development is advantageous. Experience in project management and preparing high quality engaging reports, presentations and proposals for clients and understanding of the importance of communication, is essential.
Highly desirable applicants are those who can demonstrate both strong technical capabilities and the ability to extract and communicate the narrative and policy implications from their work. Applicants must show a keen interest in major planning, societal, environmental and policy issues and be able to work autonomously and alongside a passionate team of professionals from varied backgrounds.
While based in our Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra office, you will work with clients across Australia and New Zealand and, on occasion, elsewhere internationally.
