About this opportunity
We are seeking an early career Consultant Economist to join our team in our Sydney practice, candidates based in Melbourne and Canberra will also be considered. We are looking for someone with formal qualifications and applied knowledge in economics, econometrics, finance, commerce, or similar quantitative fields who understands the power of well-presented and accessible data.
We address real-world problems and provide public policy insights; we are looking for someone who is highly competent in collecting and preparing data from established and novel data sources and who has experience with economic evaluation – financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, economic impact assessment and program evaluation. Additional experience in providing inputs to business cases seeking government funding will be highly regarded. Being highly proficient in MS Excel is essential while experience or exposure to data analysis, coding/statistical and visualisation packages and languages will also be seen favourably.
Highly desirable applicants are those who can demonstrate attention to detail and pride in a high standard of work, adaptability, initiative and strong conceptual skills. Applicants will display a strong desire and ability to learn new techniques and concepts, both autonomously and by working in multidisciplinary teams.
While based locally, you’ll work with clients across Australia and New Zealand and, on occasion, elsewhere internationally.
