The opportunity

We’re looking for a Marketing and Publications Assistant to design and deliver high quality publications, create clear engaging digital content that connects with our audiences and contributes to the implementation of the marketing and communications strategy.

In the role, you’ll work collaboratively with the team to:

  • Desktop publish reports to support our impact, including designing infographics to tell a compelling visual story
  • Create compelling, readable content, clearly explaining complex information to our audiences
  • Facilitate feedback from our clients to ensure continuous improvement
  • Support the implementation of the strategic plan alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager
  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of events and training

The role is based in Melbourne, with two in-office days required each week and flexibility for the remaining days. It can be offered 4- or 5-days per week.

A bit about you…

You’ll have a tertiary qualification in marketing or communications, or experience working within a marketing and communications team, ideally in a business-to-business environment. You’ll have a strong eye for design, detail, layout and brand consistency and be a confident writer who can distil complex ideas into clear written and visual messages.

To be successful in this role, your skills and experience (key selection criteria) will include:

  • Knowledge and understanding of marketing and communications, including PR, brand management
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to distil complex information into clear written and visual messages
  • Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, meet deadlines, and prioritise work effectively across projects
  • Ability to apply graphic design principles to produce visually appealing and effective marketing and communications materials
  • Effective communication to foster collaboration, provide feedback and actively participate organisationally
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva

Not essential, but a bonus if you have the following:

  • Experience with a CRM system (e.g. Hubspot)
  • Experience with a content management system
  • Basic SEO knowledge
  • Video recording and editing capabilities

What we offer

Annual salary of $70,000-$80,000, excluding super, depending on experience.
