David is an experienced economist bringing rigorous analysis and insight to today’s pressing policy and economic issues.

David joined SGS in 2021 bringing more than 15 years of consulting experience throughout North America with specialist expertise in market and financial feasibility assessment, benefit-cost and value-capture analysis, policy formation, strategic planning.

With a passion for addressing tricky questions, he has helped a wide spectrum of public and private sector clients make informed decisions related to land use and economic development, social and housing policy, infrastructure financing, and strategic planning.

David believes in finding solutions that balance different sides of the story. He enjoys supporting and empowering clients through rigorous analysis, effective stakeholder engagement, strategic thinking, and best-practices orientation.

He has regularly been a presenter, panellist, and moderator at regional, national, and international conferences, and has made contributions to literature in housing policy and the best practices in economic feasibility analysis techniques.

On a personal note, David is a bassoonist and has played semi-professionally with orchestras for the past 25 years.
