Bachelor of Science (Honours), Master of Urban Planning
Stella is a planner inspired by the potential that planning has to support responses to a wide range of challenges, from pressures on Australia’s healthcare systems to responding to the nation’s rate of insect extinctions.
She is particularly interested in how feminist perspectives can be integrated into urban planning to promote equality, as well as the role of transport-oriented and compact development in shaping more sustainable and liveable places. Skilled in GIS, Stella utilises spatial analysis to effectively interpret and communicate complex data.
For Stella, inclusive planning means creating places where people want to live — places that are efficient, safe, and accessible for everyone, including cyclists, walkers, people using mobility equipment, and public transport users.
Outside of work, Stella enjoys running along gravel paths in the mountains, countryside, or by the beach, and practising Spanish by reading about animals and the environment.
