Paul is a strategic planner passionate about working with communities to create pathways to a more just and sustainable world.
Now leading SGS’s work in Aotearoa New Zealand, Paul brings deep knowledge of the local policy landscape, together with SGS’s evidence-based approach, to support communities navigating the transition to a more just and sustainable future.
A planner by background, he applies a systems lens to uncover how economic, social, cultural and environmental outcomes are interconnected, and how policy can serve all four dimensions.
His expertise spans strategic planning, systems thinking, policy design, program development and impact evaluation. He has worked across housing, Indigenous development, and international trade and development.
Career highlights include contributing to the establishment of the Australian Government’s Indigenous Procurement Policy while at Indigenous Business Australia, and co-founding an award-winning impact investment business that supports enterprises across Australia, the Pacific, Asia, and Africa.
Paul began his career at SGS in the 1990s. Now back with the team, he continues to shape long-term solutions grounded in evidence, insight and purpose.
